Fundamentalist Christian Terrorist

If you’re a Christian, do you feel any responsibility for Anders Behring Breivik, the animal who mowed down or blew up over 90 innocent Norwegians?  What if he did it in the name of Jesus?  Would he then be more like you?

‘Muslim terrorist’ is almost redundant in this country.  Almost every Muslim shudders when some Islamic looney-toon commits an act of terrorism in the name of Allah.  They know ignorant people will lump them all together.

But this is America – let’s be democratic about it.  Maybe Fundamentalist Christians SHOULD be lumped together with this maniac Breivi…and the Christians in the Westboro Baptist Church…and the guy who burns Korans…and the guy who killed the abortion doctor…and the Wacko from Waco…, etc.

Christian, Muslim, Jew, Hindu, Zoroastrian, Communist, etc etc. It makes no difference what the specific religion is. Religious fundamentalism calls for a belief in and living life in accordance with the written word and/or tradition in the most literal sense. You have to be a bit unbalanced to take any of these creeds seriously in the first place; the violence occurs when a belief system is carried to its logical extreme by a true believer.

Normal people will agree with your post on this topic, but the Christian fundamentalist perceives himself as right(eous) and everyone else as wrong. Your analysis won’t faze him a bit.

Agreed. I’m not even saying (yet) that his Fundamentalist beliefs had anything to do with his actions. I have read he hates Muslims, immigrants, and is an extreme right-wing WingNut. Doubt if he’ll say anything of relevance because (surprise!) he’s already retained a lawyer.

And in Norway, if I heard correctly, the most you can do is about 21-years for ANY crime.

BTW, this post is not directed at Fundamentalist Christians. I was hoping to ring a chord in those dolts with room temperature IQ’s who say things like “So how come all the terrorist acts are by Muslims?” (Clunk!)

Think about before 9=11. We could blame thew kkk. etc/

The right wingnuts feel because militant Islamism is at war with the USA then all Muslims should be viewed with suspicion. Even if they acknowledge the existence of Christian nutballs, they will not be deterred from their hatred of Muslims. They’ve always disliked people of other faiths, but now the terrorism and wars give them an “excuse” to voice their hatred.

It’s quite similar to the rhetoric directed against Japanese people in WW II. The hate is always there, but in America it is normally kept under wraps. If our politicians had any balls, it would remain under wraps whatever the world situation. I’ll give W credit; he did try.

But First he had to line up all his and Cheneys Ducks to make the most money out of it. The SEALs and Marine Corps Force Recon should have had a workable plan in order BEFORE anything happenned-probably did. Bet they had to retire some Generals and Colonels with Vietnam experience before they could make their moves-to the $15 Coca Cola’s. We should find out all the brands Haliburton is overcharging our gov’t for and boycot them. After all, it IS all about money.

And HEYYY!! The Dr. That got shot had his office down the street from me. I saw him from time to time here in this town. He kept what seemed to be very off day office hours for his old patient while he told us he had another Office in Jax. Not reverse family planning in Tallahassee.

Besides that, Isn’t that guy actually more like your typical Norwegian Terrorist without a hat with horns on it?
