Our medical system is being crushed by people who’ve
contracted Covid-19. Doctors, nurses, and medical care
workers are overwhelmed. And hospitals are almost at
the breaking point.
Then yesterday, I heard some dolt say, “It’s my Constitutional
right NOT to wear a mask.”
“OK,” I thought, “let’s give this guy his imagined “right.”
BUT he can’t burden our medical system if he ignores its
warnings and catches the disease. Deal?
We could send every citizen a card that says,
“I’m an American and I don’t choose to wear a mask. I
understand that if I do not wear a mask and contract Covid-19, I will NOT be admitted to a hospital for medical treatment nor care.” (Signature) (Date) (Witness)
And the rest of us? We’ll continue common sense precautions
and avoid the mask-less. Fuck ’em.
