American Shotgun Equality

Monday, April 4th, 2016

A group of Nepali immigrants is living in a predominately poor, black Rochester, NY neighborhood. The locals haven’t exactly formed a Welcome Wagon committee  – in fact, the immigrants have been victimized by abuse, threats, theft, and assault.  A former, black Rochester Chief of Police described the immigrants as “easy targets for crime because they often don’t report the abuse. They carry cash because they don’t use the banking system. And they are peaceful and don’t fight back.”

In the 1970’s, a group of home break-ins occurred in a large, poor, Rochester neighborhood. The attacks seemed to target people with extreme disabilities like those who were bedridden or in wheelchairs.  After a number of these incidents, a teenage criminal was breaking through a window when he got blown away with a shotgun by a man in a wheelchair.  Surprisingly, a similar incident happened a few days later!  Not surprisingly, break-ins dropped to an all time low in that neighborhood.

Nepali immigrants: to be equal in America, you must protect yourself and your families from marauding predators.  A legal shotgun is much more effective than a call to 911.

Stop Abortions!

Monday, April 4th, 2016
(From January, 2015)

…By Making Them Unnecessary

This week marked the 42nd anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, the Supreme Court decision that legalized abortion. Although America still leads the entire western world in abortion, the Center for Disease Control says our rates have been decreasing since 2011. Sex education and easy-to-get birth control were the major factors in helping our numbers go down. Waving bloody signs and cutting off funding to Planned Parenthood were not mentioned as any help at all.  Thousands of anti-abortion protestors filled the streets of Washington yesterday to support a watered-down bill that will cut federal funding.  The law passed and will be vetoed. (Yawn – they’re beating a dead horse.)

Religious people still refuse to adopt the rational position that PREVENTION is the best solution for unwanted pregnancies.  Preventing problems is always better than trying to solve them. How many unwanted pregnancies could they have helped prevent in 41-years if they used common sense?

Do religious people really want to stop abortions – or just slam their beliefs down our throats?
