The Democrat & Chronicle:  “The Changing Scene opened to great fanfare in downtown Rochester in August 1977 as the first revolving restaurant in New York state.

The restaurant featured the best public views of the city from its 21st-floor perch atop the First Federal Building. It was said that you could see the Bristol Hills on a clear day.

The rotating appeal came with its quirks.

“You can’t put your drink on the window ledge while you chat with your dinner partner,” a Democrat and Chronicle editorial stated. “You won’t see the drink again until an hour later, and by then the ice will melt. You also have to watch where you put your purse.”

The windows, ledges and central core remained stationary, while a 10-foot-wide section of the outer floor rotated. People sometimes got lost on the way back from the bathroom.”

The Changing Scene restaurant closed in 1988.  Read more:

Sieg Heil-arious

Brilliant! This is the most effective anti-protest protest I’ve ever seen in my life.  The small town of Wundseidel, Germany has been visited annually for 25-years by Neo-Nazis marching to assert their rights and praise dead Nazi leaders.  And every year the town gets enraged and police are forced to calm the action.  But not this year!  This year the town SUPPORTED the march and cheered the right-wing whack-jobs to the finish line.

What happened?

Without the  Nazis’ knowledge, townspeople got together and organized a Walk-A-Thon for the marchers – with every dollar collected going to an ANTI-Nazi group. The Nazis lost either way.  If they chose not to march, they would back down and  look beaten.  But with each step they marched, the confused nitwits raised money against themselves!  As I’ve said, BRILLIANT! (Watch the clip.)
