ISIS Is Beating The US In Syria

Friday, May 22nd, 2015

Are you surprised?  We’ve already lost in Iraq and Afghanistan.  And we’re going to lose every war in which we try to take over other countries and foreign cultures.

Our Founding Fathers would be horrified at our international meddling! There’s nothing in our Constitution that says America should be running around the world setting up “democratic” puppet-states.  Nobody has “our” oil under their sand.  We cannot make the world “safe for democracy” or protect human rights for 6.5 billion people.  It would be nice if we could – but we can’t.  We’ve proved that for over 70-years of failed foreign interventionism.

And what has all this gotten us?

A deep dislike – and often hatred – by most of the world. A teetering economy puffed up by huge debts of pretend money swiped from your grandchildren and great-grandchildren. And the loud sucking sound of millions of jobs flushed overseas.

Quick question: if the US military decided to withdraw completely from the Mideast, how long would it take for Iran, Iraq, and Syria to form a massive army and eradicate this ISIS scum?

Do Jews Have Horns?

Friday, May 22nd, 2015

Miss Goldstein had just announced to my 7-th grade class that she was Jewish.  The year was 1962.  The place was a small Upstate New York town of fewer than 2000 people.  It was the black & white TV period in American history.

“You can’t be Jewish!” loudly said Galen M. “Jews have horns!” He wasn’t kidding.

As the class burst into laughter, chaos, and ridicule of Galen, I noticed not everyone was amused.  More than one of the other students sat there stunned and silent. They, too, believed the same, stupid thing.

Could any child in America be that embarrassingly ignorant today?

Of course not.  Today we have a superior education system, hundreds of around-the-world cable TV channels, and the internet.  Today, no kid could live in such a naive, clueless bubble – in America.

But America is not the world.  Children in other countries ARE this ignorant.    In the poorer countries of the Mideast, fewer than 3 out of 4 people can read and less than half have electricity.  Televisions are no big deals if you can’t plug them in and the internet is less valuable than a healthy goat.

The people of  the Mideast believe what the tribal leaders, ISIS, Al-Qaeda, and the Taliban tell them what to believe about America.  If they have any doubts, our drones and bombs, which blow away their neighbors, will convince them.

We’ve already lost too many fine American troops in this conflict.  And “too many” started with the very first one.

Why do people hate the Jews?
