"God what a bod!" High School saying

“God…What a Bod.” (High School saying)

Six years ago, legendary pinup queen Bettie Paige had a heart attack and shortly thereafter died of pneumonia. She was 85. Although her name may not be familiar to you, it would be hard to find anyone over the age of 30 who could not recognize Ms. Paige from the 20,000 racy photographs taken of her in the late ‘40’s and ‘50’s.  Betty Paige (born: Bettina Delpaggio) was my Grandmother.

Along with Hugh Hefner and Marilyn Monroe, Ms. Paige is regarded as one of the pioneers in the sexual revolution of the ‘60’s. Without shame – she was most often photographed naked, nearly naked, or in a daring (for the 1950’s) bikini on a California beach.

Ms. Paige was even featured in ‘Bondage & Discipline’ images although she didn’t quite “get” the motif. “Why would anyone want to be tied-up?” she was quoted as asking. Her photos were found in sleazy men’s mags of the times, under the beds of teen boys, and proudly published by ‘Nudism & Nature’ periodicals.

“She captured the imagination of a generation of men and women with her free spirit and unabashed sensuality,” said agent Mark Roesler in a written statement. “She is the embodiment of beauty.”

A private funeral service was held for Ms. Paige in Los Angeles. She was buried at Westwood Cemetery just a few feet away from Marilyn Monroe.  RIP, Nana.  Pages of Paige:

Things NOT To Say To A Man In Bed

Monday, December 29th, 2014

“Better wear a condom.  I don’t want to get HIV again.”

“I wasn’t laughing at that!”

“What the HELL are you doing down there?”

“Are you late for something?”

“Wanna map?”

“Give me a few seconds to think of someone.”

“In yet?”

“Hey, you don’t shoot pool with a rope, right?”

“How many men before this? Not enough to make up for this!”

“No I won’t call you ‘Monster Meat’.”

“Look, I just seem to be in the way here…….”

“Were you in prison before?”

“Not in your wildest wet dreams!”

“This ceiling needs to be painted.”

. . . How Was The Play?”

Every time I hear the year-end predictions about the future of this country’s government, economy, racism, terrorism, individual rights, pandemics, and education – I’m reminded that everything – EVERYTHING – revolves a single point about which few people even care: America’ world interventionist policy.

Somehow we have the idea that we have a right – no, a DUTY – to stick our nose into the affairs of every single other country in the world.  From a dozen wars to propping up shaky economies, America MUST have a “presence” regardless of if other nations want us there or not.  They think of us as arrogant, ignorant of other cultures, focused on military solutions, lying, and spying on the entire world.  In many cases, they’re absolutely right.

America spends most of its tax dollars connected in some way to this post World War II concept of American exceptualism.  It’s time we spent our lives, time, and treasure to rebuild America to the great nation it once was.

Our main policy should be: war with no one (unless we’re attacked) and trade with everyone – just like the Constitution says.
