Trading Terrorists Like Marbles

Friday, June 6th, 2014

The Bergdahl-for-terrorists trade sucked out loud. What was even worse – and something about which no one is talking – is why Army brass-asses sent dozens of our troops into enemy territory to look for a deserter. That was stupid enough to get six of them sent home in body bags.

For this deal, 5-Muslim-terrorists were released from Guantamamo (the prison Obama promised to close down in 2008) leaving about 150- turbans behind.  Each prisoner costs the US about $1.7 million dollars per year for “housing.”

Why is Guantamano still open for business?

The party line is no one wants them on US soil.  But I suspect a more sinister reason: they’re still bargaining chips.  I think Presidents Bush and Obama quietly let it be known that if there were any more state-sponsored attacks like 911, these terrorists would be dropped into the Atlantic and given the opportunity to swim home.

What’s that you say? “The US would never do anything like that!”?

A not uncommon enhanced interrogation technique in Vietnam was to question Viet Cong suspects next to the open door of a flying helicopter. If the right answers weren’t forthcoming, the unlucky prisoner was pushed out from 4- or 5-thousand feet.

“Well, they did worse than that to American troops!” you might say.  And you’d be right except it was their country and we had no right to be there.

Weekend Project: Learn How To Eat Fire

Friday, June 6th, 2014

Warning:  If you’re stupid enough to try this at home, you’re mouth is going to get as burned as an unattended marshmellow in a campfire.
