Some Fruits And Nuts From California

I support gay marriage across the board. A quick look at my ‘Search box’ under ‘gay’ will show that I’m an uncompromising advocate for homosexual rights.  Computer tech wizard Brendan Eich is against gay marriage. He was also the CEO of the Mozilla Foundation (the company that created Firefox, an internet browser) – for 15 days. Why so short a time?  Militant gay groups in the Silicon Valley area put enough pressure on his company to force him out specifically for his anti-gay marriage stand.  I think that stinks.

Every political group has its fringe, mental cases who grab headlines and make good media chowder.  Gays are definitely ‘equal’ in this regard but I wish it wasn’t so.

Muslim terrorists don’t representative Muslims.  Westboro Baptist Church wackos don’t representative Christians.  And these gay McCarthy-like whiners aren’t like any gay people I know.  Neither are the Dykes-On-Bikes in the SF Gay pride parade or the recently-married gay blades who feel compelled to swap spit on the steps of City Halls for photographers.  Most gays are normal, everyday people who just want to get on with their lives like everyone else.

This is America and everyone is entitled to his opinion – and to mine.  Mine is simple: I believe all straight and gay people have a right to their opinions without being hunted down and labeled in a way which can hurt them.  It’s called free speech.  And if you want to suppress it, I hope your pesto sauce burns.
