Future Antiques

Saturday, January 4th, 2014

I love modern design. I appreciate dusty antiques – in museums – but what we create today is a statement of who we are right now. ‘Touch of Modern’ is a fascinating – although expensive – site.  They’re having a sale now.  Don’t break anything.

Wake Up, Little Susie

Wake up, little Susie, wake up
Wake up, little Susie, wake up
We’ve both been sound asleep, wake up, little Susie, and weep
The movie’s over, it’s four o’clock, and we’re in trouble deep
Wake up little Susie
Wake up little Susie, well

Whatta we gonna tell your mama
Whatta we gonna tell your pa
Whatta we gonna tell our friends when they say “ooh-la-la”
Wake up little Susie
Wake up little Susie
Wake up little Susie

Giving Drunks A Bad Name

Saturday, January 4th, 2014

A woman fan from Alabama State wasn’t happy when her team lost Sugar Bowl-2014. When she heard Oklahoma fans laughing about it, she went over the top – literally – and attacked them.  Now, before you laugh at this woman, remember, college football is a religion in Alabama.  Now you can laugh harder. The woman was later escorted from the stadium by security.

Watch it www.google.com/. (Take your pick of the vids – they’re all good from different angles.)

Remember Fallujah, Iraq?

Saturday, January 4th, 2014

In late 2004, the Second Battle of Fallujah proved to be the bloodiest battle involving American troops since the Vietnam  War. Thousands of Americans were killed and wounded and many more thousands of al-Queda militants died.  Falluja is one of the most important cities in this war-wracked country.

Yesterday the American-backed Iraqi government lost control of Fallujah to al-Qaida militants whose flag is now flying over the city.  I’m quite sure we’ll lose the rest of Iraq to the people who live in Iraq and chalk it up to one more non-learning moment.

Had enough yet America?
