Louise Brooks was one of the most famous and beautiful film stars of the silent screen era. She roared through the ’20’s by popularizing the bobbed haircut, uninhibited dancing, and womens sexual liberation. Louise was the ultimate “flapper.”
Brooks made three films which are classics: Pandora’s Box (1929), Diary of a Lost Girl (1929), and Prix de Beauté (1930).
Although she was a virtual recluse here in Rochester, New York for over 20-years, in 1982 Louise published her memoir, Lulu in Hollywood. Three years later she died of a heart attack at the age of 78.
