All The Wrong People Have Money

Friday, April 6th, 2012

Last week, a crew of McDonalds workers in Maryland pooled their money (less than $100) to play the $656 million Mega Millions lottery. They turned the money over to Mirlande Wilson, 37, to place the bets at a 7-Eleven store in Baltimore.

The crew went McNUTS when they learned they had one of the 3 winning tickets worth about $220-million!

“Uh, uh,” said Ms. Wilson.  She claimed that after she bought all the crew tickets, she bought one for herself and THAT was the lucky winner.  Then she said she hid the valuable stub somewhere in McDonalds.  Of course the crew tore the place apart looking for the magic ticket – but no luck.  Mirlande got a lawyer.

Yesterday, she told NBC News that she LOST the ticket! Or, in her words, she “misplaced it.”  Uh, oh.

Maryland Lottery officials aren’t saying where the winning ticket was sold and haven’t had any claims on the money – yet.  Since then, Mirlande hasn’t shown up to flip fries and the crew isn’t happy. Me? “I’m Lovin’ It”  Stay tuned.
