"No - I REALLY mean I'm tied up."

Maniacs and murderers have given BDSM (Bondage, Discipline, Sadism, and Masochism) a bad name. Although I’m not a devotee, I know people who are. So do you – they’re just not telling you about it.

There seems to be a growing trend in alternative sex practices among married people and those who are not.  Their “limits” are sane, safe, consensual, adult sex. There’s usually a ‘dominant’ and a ‘submissive’ in these role plays. If you’re not role-playing, you’ve probably got some real problems.

Submissives get their own ‘safe’ words. Think of it as an automatic stop button.  This word, which should be totally out of context, is called when the submissive has reached the point of all she or he can endure.  I don’t think masochists use safe words.

It must be very awkward if the submissive forgets her special word and the spankings (or whatever) continues.  I guess you can say, in that case, she’s fucked.

Great tie, buddy!

Why do all these guys dress alike? Because that’s what you expect a President to look like for dress-up occasions.  For many Americans who couldn’t explain the difference between the debt and the deficit, image is almost everything.

I coached top-level corporate executives for years and told them to put on the same costume.  The boardroom and presidential debates are not places to make fashion statements.  If somebody looks at what you’re wearing and wonders ‘Why?’, chances are good he’s not listening to what you’re saying.

Dressing is mainly cultural. Women dress to express themselves and men dress “to be part of the team” (think of uniforms – sports and military.)

Few men come home from parties and say, “Damn! Joe was wearing the same suit I was. Bitch.”
