Flour Power

Friday, January 6th, 2012

In the 1800’s, Rochester, NY was known as the “Flour City” because we manufactured so much of the stuff pre-Atkins. By the early 1900’s, as we developed more and different strains of Lilacs (I have no idea why) we became the “Flower City.”¬† Later, due to the rise of Eastman Kodak, Bausch & Lomb, and Xerox Corporation, we became “The Image Centre of the World.”

Today, as B&L and Xerox flounder – and Kodak goes bankrupt¬† – we’re searching for a new identity.¬† Most ideas of our residents are unprintable.
