What is “Help, Help”?

Tuesday, December 20th, 2011

Art Fleming passed away. Do your remember him? He was the original host of Jeopardy from 1964 through 1975. I always liked him better than the priggish Alex Trabeck. Anyway Art had a heart attack near his home in Coral Gables, Florida. As he called for help from the sidewalk, many people just ignored him and walked by. Apparently he didn’t phrase his plea in the form of a question.

He’s a Dictator But He’s OUR Dictator

Iraq Vice-Presiden Tariq al-Hashemi

Yesterday, Iraq’s Sunni Vice-President, Tariq al-Hashemi, was issued an arrest warrant on terrorism-related charges.  Of course he said the charges were “fabricated”  and accused Prime Minister Nouri Maliki, a Shia, of being behind a plot to blow apart attempts at a national reconciliation.

“Saddam was a dictator and Maliki is a dictator too,” he said.

The Sunni deputy prime minister has warned Iraq risks a new sectarian war with the Shias.  Sunni Muslims and Shia Muslims have been clashing over religious differences for thousands of years.  The US War in Iraq was supposed to help all that.  It failed.

Obama still takes every photo op he can welcoming returning US troops and has claimed credit for “ending the War in Iraq.”  Of course O promised to end the war as soon as he was elected but prolonged it and doubled-down on Afghanistan. He is despicable.
