I went out last night and ran into a professional photographer friend of mine.  I whined to him about this new digital camera having too many complicated features and he gave me great advice.  He said, “Just switch it to ‘automatic’ and shoot everyday until you feel comfortable with it.”

Here’s the view from my terrace a few minutes ago at dusk.  I can’t believe this thing!

A Kick In The Nuts

Thursday, September 15th, 2011

You would think RightWing-Wingnuts had a corner on the conspiracy theory market.  “Birthers” (Obama wasn’t born in the US), “Deathers” (Osama Bin Laden wasn’t really killed), “Christmasers” (They’re trying to take Christ out of Christmas), and others – are a real kick sometimes. Hell, at least they’re good for a few laughs.

But LeftWing-Wingnuts are cracked too.  The stars of that looneytoon are “Truthers”: people who believe the 911 tragedy was staged by government insiders to justify the Mideast wars. Yikes!

The main premise of this whacked out wail is the Twin Towers could not have burned and crashed so completely without the use of demolition charges.  Jet fuel burns at 1500º F. but steel doesn’t melt at that temperature so there MUST have been something else.

Of course there was – gravity.

Although the crashes, explosions, and fires didn’t melt the steel beams, they did cause enough structural damage to destroy the internal integrity of the buildings.  The Towers then folded into themselves floor by floor at an ever increasing speed as the unsupported weight grew heavier.

Assorted nuts are all different but they do have one thing in common – they’re all nuts.
