Pope Benedict XVI has joined Twitter!
“Dear Friends, I just launched News.va. Praised be our Lord Jesus Christ! With my prayers and blessings, Benedictus XVI,” twittered the Pope on the Vatican’s new account.
I think it will fascinating to watch the Vatican use 21st Century technology to push its 17th Century teachings.

Monday, June 27th, 2011First, gay marriage was made legal in New York. Next, the Supreme Court voted against the conservative agenda of censoring violent video games for kids. Then charges were dropped against an arrested woman who was videotaping police whom she thought were “profiling” a young black man.
And just when the right thought it couldn’t get any worse, Michele Bachman declared she’s running for President.
Even I’m getting a headache.
This conservative run of carnival side shows (Palin, Trump, Newt, Palin the Bus, and now, Bachman) is making me dizzy (from laughing). How bad is Bachman?
On disagreeing with evolution:
“Where do we say that a cell became a blade of grass, which became a starfish, which became a cat, which became a donkey, which became a human being?’ There’s a real lack of evidence from change from actual species to a different type of species. That’s where it’s difficult to prove.”
She also said that she, like the famous actor John Wayne, was from Waterloo, Iowa. But John Wayne is NOT from Waterloo. However, John Wayne Gacy, the infamous mass murderer, IS from her home town. Uh, oh!
2012 looks like another year I’ll be writing myself in when I vote for President – (if I forget how to spell ‘Bozo’).

Sunday, June 26th, 2011Let’s see now, 27.4¢ for our Military + 7.6¢ for more weapons = (35¢). 3.9¢ for Vet Benefits + 1.3¢ for Vets Medical Services = (5.2¢) for those who served. Nah, that can’t be right – is it?
