Again . . .

Saturday, March 19th, 2011

Tonight the US is launching an unconstitutional act of war against Libya.  Of course France, Italy, England and some Arab countries are with us – but everyone knows who’s going to do the heavy hitting.

I didn’t want to see the Libyan rebels massacred either but in the end, it’s their country.  I wish I never heard the name Ghadafi – or Hussein – or Mubarak.  And I wish Somalia didn’t have pirates, and Africans didn’t starve, and the earth didn’t have earthquakes.

But there’s only so much the United States can do – or should do.

Three wars in the Mideast and may I selfishly ask:  what’s in it for us?

What Happened to Bedbugs?

Saturday, March 19th, 2011

Remember when bedbugs were all the rage a few months ago?  Tourism dropped by 20% in places like New York and LA.  Some people started ripping apart their mattresses and guarding their coats in public places.  The used clothes in 2nd-Hand shops might as well have been dipped in cholera and everyone was scratching something. It seemed bedbugs were just about ready to take over the planet.

And then. . . nothing.

When was the last time you heard a bed bug story on the news?  They couldn’t have gone into hiding because they always were in hiding.  Did the swine flu get them?  Were they infected with grocery cart fecal matter to become doubly disgusting?

I don’t know if this stuff bothers you but it’s bugging the hell out of me.
