“I’m Just a Full-Figured Girl”

Monday, February 28th, 2011

Jane Russell died today; she was 89.  Ms. Russell was a movie star in the 1940’s and ’50’s and also Howard Hughs’ girlfriend.  In the ’90’s she was the television spokeswoman for a brassiere company.  She often referred to herself with the quote above.

Why Do Women Love to Dance?

Monday, February 28th, 2011

Women really love to dance. And I just don’t mean ballerinas, strippers, belly-dancers and bimbos.  I mean everyday lawyers, nurses, stay-at-home Moms and just about all of them.  Go to any club or party and women will be dancing with each other and sometimes even alone.

But most men would rather go to the dentist than go dancing (except a few who dance with other men).  You can find the guys leaning on the bar or in a group of their buds at a party.

A recent study stated that women love to dance because it “frees” them of inhibiting physical behavior in socially-acceptable ways – in a safe environment.  They can rhythmically slink, jiggle, step, bounce, gyrate, spin, twirl, pendulate, shake their asses, and make sexual moves WITHOUT over-exciting alpha males who just want to see them waving their feet at the ceiling.

We love your blog but sometimes we do not know if it is joke – or serious – or both.  Do you ever travel to Kiev?  Also, would you show picture of your face?

Hello Trina,

Except for my political rants (Anti-war, Pro-extensive sex education and birth-control, Pro-homosexual rights, and Pro-Freedom) you can take the rest of it whichever way you choose.  I love to make people laugh and think.  If I can do both at the same time,  that’s a perfect post.

Some people are offended by my humor.  We have an American phrase that shows how much I feel their pain:  “Tough Shit!”

I’ve traveled to many different countries through my business (PresentationsUnplugged) but never to Russia.  I’d LOVE to come.

Here’s a promotional picture taken  last month.  I don’t look this good in real life.

Kind regards,

“Honey, Dewan is coming for dinner, OK?”

Our Vets In The Sand

Friday, February 25th, 2011

The unwinnable wars in Iraq and Afghanistan grind on day after day. The vets who make it home get lousy health care – and those who don’t make it home get forgotten.

The Vets in Santa Barbara, California aren’t going to let us forget their buddies who died in the sand in those two rat holes.  Every weekend they put up a cross and a candle for each American service person killed.  Each cross has a name, date of birth, and date of death.  That’s over 5000 crosses.

And the remarkable thing is they take each one down at the end of the weekend –  and put it back up the next weekend.

No Cuomo-union?

Friday, February 25th, 2011

Some conservative Catholics don’t want New York Governor Andrew Cuomo to receive the church’s sacrament of Communion because he is not married to his live-in girlfriend.  A seminary professor in Detroit called the living arrangement “public concubinage” and said that Cuomo taking Communion would be sacrilegious. Cuomo says “my religion is a private matter” and won’t discuss it in public.

Over 30-years ago, conservative Catholics said the same about former NY Governor Mario Cuomo because of his Pro-Choice support.

I’m a “recovering Catholic” and don’t really care what church officials say.  However, in an attempt to try to remain relevant in today’s world, perhaps church conservatives should just be quiet about these matters and let God decide.  She knows best.
