“God Made Me Drop It!”

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Steve Johnson blamed God for dropping a game-winning touchdown in a 19-16 overtime loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday.  I didn’t even know God watched the Bills!

On his post-game Twitter page, Johnson ranted:

“I PRAISE YOU 24/7!!!!!! AND THIS HOW YOU DO ME!!!!! YOU EXPECT ME TO LEARN FROM THIS??? HOW???!!! ILL NEVER FORGET THIS!! EVER!!!”

This is the type of thing that happens when you give too much money to basic street trash who happen to be athletically-gifted.

I don’t think God will be coming back to the Bill’s stadium anyway. Often when the team blows an easy catch or whiffs a simple field goal, 50,000 frustrated fans jump up and scream, “JESUS CHRIST!”

Did you make this up or did the jerk really say it?

If it’s a true story, Mr Johnson needs to read the Book of Job.

All true. Here’s what a number of press sources had to say:

I’ve read the Bible and it doesn’t have anything to do with football, people that worship football probably.
I did have a pet sand monkey when I lived where there was a LOT of sand. His mate died in an accident and he turned to anything that had wet spot he could reach. Or a lady in black pajamas he could get close enough to to climb up her leg. If a dog in heat ran by he’d grab it’s but with his two hands and stick his little face up there to get a mouthfull of tail and the dog would take off while he spread out his rear legs like a waterskier in the sand leaving two tracks all around the compound to the sound of , A-ROOOHH_ROO_ROOOH! We’d have to put him in his cage for his own safety and he never cussed the lord. He’d just jack off at anyone that stared at him. Like what the football player should have done.

If god can be thanked for success then he can be blamed for failure. It’s all BS anyways. If you think you can thank god for your health then you also need to blame him for the other guys cancer.
