Have You Seen This Muppet?

Friday, January 31st, 2014

In what’s been described as “the worst police sketch of all time,” Houston Police asked the public to help them identify a man who allegedly robbed two women at knifepoint on January 16th in Paris, Texas.

On January 28th, they arrested  Glenn Edwin Rundles, 32, for the crime.  The police would not say if the sketch aided in his apprehension but I can see a strong resemblance

Last year the worst-ever police ID photo was shot here in Upstate New York. As of now, the suspect may or may not have been arrested.  See it here.

Coming And Going To The Gym

Friday, January 31st, 2014

When it comes to exercise classes, women are much more likely to come more often and exercise more diligently. Not necessarily in that order. Women don’t always workout to be healthier or for their men – some just do it for themselves.  And some REALLY do it for themselves.

It seems a number of women can experience a workout orgasm or  “coregasm” – right there on a mat – surrounded by other women – in a sweaty exercise class. This sometimes happens when they repetitively do knee lifts and leg lowering to make stronger their “core” –  the muscles in and around their mid section.  In addition to the obvious tightening and then relaxing of the  relevant muscles, coregasms are probably aided by endorphins and the comfort of being in the relaxing company of other women.

It also probably doesn’t hurt that “somebody” is not calling out his ex-lover’s name just before a particularly poignant moment.

The End Of World War II

Friday, January 31st, 2014

German Wehrmacht General Anton Dostler is tied to a stake before his execution by firing squad in Aversa, Italy, on December 1, 1945. The General ordered the shooting of 15 unarmed American prisoners of war, in La Spezia, Italy, on March 26, 1944.

The Atlantic published a series of startling pictures showing some of the days following the last world war. They are gripping and different than most photos I’ve seen from that period in history.

I’d like to thank my friend, Joe Belle-Isle, an artist and Vietnam Vet, for bringing this site to my attention.

Will You Be Arrested This Weekend?

Thursday, January 30th, 2014

The Crossbar Hotel

The Superbowl is Sunday – gonna make a bet? – it’s the largest betting event of the year.  Although Las Vegas expects a record-breaking day, over 99% of Superbowl bets are ILLEGAL. Las Vegas gets less than 1-percent of the action.

Will the police be making mass arrests over the weekend? Doubt it. But should the people themselves decide which laws to obey and which they can break? Hmmm.

Our government was established to protect our freedom to live our lives as we choose – as long we don’t interfere with others by force or fraud. Pretty simple, huh? And then somewhere along the line, the Morality Nazi’s got into positions of power and began to decide that they knew better than we – how we should live our own lives.

So the concept of ‘consensual crime’ was born and began to eat away at our freedom like malignant cancer cells on steroids. Can a person commit a “crime” against himself? Can the “criminal” and the “victim” BE THE SAME PERSON ?

Tell you what – if you think we should follow every law that the government lays down – if you believe it knows how to live your life better than you, here’s what you do: Sunday evening, call your local police station. Tell them a large group of people is flagrantly breaking the law by gambling and you want them arrested! NOW!

(PS. in NY, an involuntary mental health arrest can only get you institutionalized for 3 days – you’ll be out by Wednesday.)
